It's the most wonderful time of the year . . .
and I understand the folks that live on Highland Avenue, in Carlsbad, are prettying up their street with Santa Claus decorations. The number of homes participating grows daily. I don't know if they are trying to become a holiday Santa Claus Lane, or the homeowners are competing in an event. A friend thinks they will make the news, eventually. So, the next time you are stopped at the intersection of Tamarack and Highland, consider turning onto Highland and head the direction of Carlsbad Village Drive, and check it out.
It's the most necessary time of the year . . .
to dig deep for extra patience. Just when we are getting used to the speed bumps, crosswalk adjustments, and a new traffic light on Tamarak, we need to consider that heavy traffic from Highland sightseers could impact traffic and require additional commute time. Plan accordingly.
Hope this was helpful.

Re: Tis the Sightseeing Season
Hello!
When I wrote about the Santas in my original post, I hadn't actually seen them in person, yet. I had it in my head each house had a unique display of something special. It turns out they are inflatable latex and all pretty much the same thing. Nothing wrong with this but I must admit I was hoping for something a bit more distinctive.
There are displaced Santas about this morning thanks to last night's storm. I hope those that lost their Santa marked it in some way for valid identification.
To those that decorate their home exteriors for the holidays, thank you. I do enjoy checking out the scenery during the month of December. This makes me think of Lucy. She did not appreciate holiday decor like her humans and thought they should be stilled and silenced.
Carry on.
